Administration Assistant
Job Summary
This vacancy is for an Administration Assistant to be based in our offices in Consett. The successful candidate will report to the Office Manager and will help with all aspects of administration within a busy engineering company. This is a new role occurring due to the growth of the company and we’re looking for a great communicator with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Your tasks will be varied and will cover a wide range of general administration duties. We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to take the initiative and is willing to make improvements and suggestions on streamlining processes and tasks. There will be a lot of interaction between different departments of the company, so it is essential that you are comfortable liaising with people at all levels. Full training and support will be given on company specific systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ordering of PPE, uniforms and overalls for all staff and managing the existing stock
- Ordering of stationery, staff beverages, cleaning materials and any other ad-hoc supplies
- Booking transport
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
- Answering telephone calls and re-routing them to the correct person
- Scanning and photocopying
- Raising purchase orders for overhead items using Emax ERP system
- Recording the minutes of production meetings using ERP system
Your Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge of ERP/manufacturing software would be advantageous.
- Familiar with office procedures

Package:
- Salary:
- Negotiable/competitive, depending on experience
- Hours:
- 37 per week
- Monday to Thursday – 8 am to 4 pm
- Friday – 8 am to 3.30 pm
- Pension:
- 3% Company contribution
